Locally owned and operated, Strategic Therapy Associates has been providing services to at-risk children, adults, and families in Central, Southside and Southwest Virginia since 1994.
At Strategic, we believe that any human problem can be addressed and helped by involving the entire family. We believe that family interactions or lack of interactions contribute to problems. Our services help families identify solvable problems, set individual and family goals, design interventions to achieve goals, exam responses to the interventions and examine the outcomes.

Providing training and skill building for adults with mental illness to
help them live more independently.
Child & Family
Our Child and Family Services aim to fortify the familial system and bolster its stability by conducting comprehensive evaluations, implementing strategic interventions, and providing ongoing support.
Evidence-Based
Our Evidence-Based services are short-term and focus on interventions and skill- building strategies to provides families with the tools to overcome individual and family risk factors.
Substance Use
Our Substance Use services offers a comprehensive array of services that support adolescents, adults, and their families throughout their journey towards recovery.

Benefits Package - We offer health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and other supplemental insurance products. We offer a paid universal leave time program and 9 paid holidays per year. Employees are eligibile to participate in a 401k plan after 1 year of employment, and the company matches the employee contribution up to 4%. FREE licensure clinical supervision is provided to qualifying master's level employees and clinician's schedules can be flexible based upon client needs.

Celebrating 30 years!
Strategic Therapy Associates is celebrating 30 years of helping children and strengthening families throughout Virginia. Strategic opened in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1994 with the purpose of providing home-based family therapy services for at-risk youth in the Hill City. Over the years we’ve expanded our continuum of services, and while Lynchburg continues to be home, we now help families across the Commonwealth! Thank you to all of our employees and community partners who have worked with us over the last three decades to help families, schools, and communities across the state.
